Meet Kendall Johnson – Certified Cigar Sommelier Tobacconist™
When Kendall joined the Red River Cigars & Lounge family in January 2024, we never imagined we’d be welcoming such a true diamond in the rough. With a natural affinity for cigars, Kendall dove headfirst into the world of tobacco—studying cigar care, flavor profiles, and the artistry of the leaf.
Her dedication paid off when she successfully earned the prestigious title of Certified Cigar Sommelier Tobacconist™ (CCST). Today, Kendall is not only an expert tobacconist but also a vital part of our lounge community.
And we’re not done yet—you’ll soon be seeing more of her knowledge in action through our brand-new “Ask Kendall”section in upcoming newsletters. Stay tuned, and get your cigar questions ready!
Introducing Red River Cigars
We’re proud to introduce our very own Red River branded cigars, crafted with precision and passion. Each cigar is a true Nica Puro, made entirely from the finest Nicaraguan tobacco leaves.
These cigars deliver a bold, authentic flavor profile and are rolled with a meticulously applied triple cap, ensuring both structural integrity and a smooth, satisfying draw every time.

- Robusto (5×50): Balanced in size and flavor
- Toro (6×52): Elegant and popular
- Torpedo (6 ½ x 52): A refined draw with a tapered head

Cigar Care – Perfecting the Experience
At Red River Cigars & Lounge, we take cigar storage seriously. Our custom-built humidor is carefully designed to maintain the ideal temperature and humidity levels, ensuring every cigar stays fresh, flavorful, and ready to enjoy.
We never use chemicals—only distilled water—so your cigars maintain their pure, natural taste.
👉 Quick Tip: Always store your purchased cigars in a resealable plastic bag. If you won’t smoke your cigar right away, place a humidity pack (like Bóveda®) inside to keep it in perfect condition.
Our goal? To make sure every cigar you light delivers the smooth, premium experience you expect.
Helpful Cigar Hints
No humidor? In a pinch, use a damp paper towel and zip-lock bag to keep your cigar humidified for up to 72 hours.
Don’t cut or punch your cigar until you’re ready to enjoy it.
If you travel often, consider a travel humidor to prevent cigars from drying or breaking.
A cracked cigar? A glue stick can be your savior—just make sure it’s unflavored.
For the best taste, avoid using butane lighters or zippos—they leave a lingering flavor. Opt for a cedar spill or torch lighter.
Want to smoke more than one cigar in a sitting? Try pairing with a piece of dark chocolate between cigars to cleanse your palate.
